Summertime is often associated with fun and relaxation, but stress is an ever-present force this time of the year that sneaks up on us derails all the joys of the season (and our personal wellbeing). From the foods we eat, to the amount of sleep we get, to disrupters such as travel and overstimulation, stress can wreck havoc on our routine and health. Here is how I recommend dealing with the top ten...
Q: “I am doing everything I can, reading books, listening to the right CDs, working hard, yet I just can’t seem to have my breakthrough… what is the deal?” A: One of the things that keeps us wrestling with our thoughts and beliefs is a subconscious desire to hold onto the old belief. I think everyone reading this by now realizes that most of humanity lives until death in a state of unconsciousness. Most everyone around you and me (and often we can be included in that group) is simply sleep-walking through life. What is the law of attraction, really?” A: I am convinced that the law of attraction is like ... When we feel afraid, there is a chemical release of cortisol produced in our brains. This cortisol release eliminates our creative ability as well as focuses all it’s energy on avoiding the problem. As a result our capability to overcome the problem is significantly diminished.
